Partners’ Assembly
The Partners’ Assembly is the top-level decision-making body of the GÉANT Consortium. The Assembly consists of the authorised representatives of all of the 41 beneficiaries in the GN3plus programme, plus a Chair elected by all of them.
Dorte Olesen, from the Technical University of Denmark, has been Chair of the GÉANT Assembly since 2012. She is a highly experienced member of the research networking community and was president of TERENA for six years. She has also served on several Advisory Committees for the EC, most recently as a member of the High Level GÉANT Expert Group from 2010-11 and the Expert Group on the Implementation of the ERA 2012-13.
Dorte holds a PhD in mathematics and was the first woman to be appointed as full professor of mathematics in Denmark. In 1989 she became the Director General of the Danish ICT Centre for Research and Education, UNI-C, a post she held until 2011 when she became Executive Advisor at the Mathematics and Computer Science Department of the Technical University of Denmark.
