GÉANT Training

 

In order to get the best out of the services and software developed by GÉANT, training is an essential component. Delivery of up-to-date training on GÉANT Services is a core requirement of the Project and supports knowledge transfer across Europe.

Effective training helps NRENs and their staff use the leading edge technologies provided by GÉANT to their upmost and maximises the investment made.

GÉANT offers a range of courses to assist the NRENs in their training needs. From self-paced e-learning to multi-day off-site courses, there is a training solution to meet your needs and to help users understand, install, configure, use and troubleshoot GÉANT software and services.

Empowering the NRENs

In order to maximise the effectiveness of training, and support the needs for skills transfer to local and regional teams, some of the courses include a "train-the-trainer" component to empower the NRENs to train their own staff as part of their staff induction and development courses.

Personal and Professional Development

As well as training courses targeted on the products and services offered by GÉANT, the training team also offer a range of personal and skills development courses for GÉANT project members.

These courses include topics such as, Management Skills, Project Management and Managing the GÉANT Intranet. In addition the Secure Coding Training courses and workshops will assist developers in both their GÉANT activities and other software development projects.
